Life Spring Church Albania
Life Spring Church (Kisha Burimi i Jetës) is located in Elbasan, Albania. We are a diverse group of people following Jesus and calling others to do the same. Through weekly fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, English courses and benevolence, we are seeking to be the tangible body of Christ in our local community.
Ministry Focus
We seek to actively share the gospel, disciple new believers, and labor for the growth of the church into maturity in Christ, faithfully teaching the word of God.
We desire to see Jesus’ kingdom come tangibly, and we faithfully pray and seek to partner with what the Holy Spirit is doing in our community. We are committed to loving God passionately and people tangibly, to seeking the welfare and flourishing of our community in every aspect of their lives.
We desire to be a church which is making disciples and working toward planting new churches, always glorifying Jesus, always holding out the life he’s purchased us, always laboring to make his name famous.
We have a special concern for the poor, the broken and the disenfranchised. We actively seek to love and serve our fellow images of God, helping them to be reconciled to God, to rediscover their worth and dignity in his eyes, to see their families restored and their God-given abilities activated for their own God-honoring flourishing and the blessing of their community.
Values
Values
Gospel
The gospel message should be at the core of all we do. The good news about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection is the focus of our mission. It's all about Jesus, it's all for Jesus, and Jesus gets all the credit (2 Cor. 5:18-20).
Word of God
The word of God is the foundation for what we teach and live. We encounter the living word Jesus through the written word the Bible. We read it, meditate on it, and teach it, and apply its truth, allowing it to dwell richly in us and transform our lives into the image of Christ (I Tim. 4:13, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, Col. 3:16).
Prayer
We are a people of prayer. Prayer is essential to a healthy relationship with Jesus; it’s how we communicate. We believe that prayer changes things. We embrace the Biblical reality that spiritual warfare is the context of our lives. Prayer is a powerful spiritual resource in our battle to advance the Kingdom (Eph. 6:18).
Worship
We were made to be worshipers, and we are marked by full-hearted worship of Jesus. Intimate and passionate worship fuels what we do, and it sensitizes us to God's power and presence. It's our highest calling. The Lover of our souls delights in our delight of Him (Rev. 5:13).
Spirit
The Holy Spirit’s work is essential in the life of believers. We are all baptized into one Spirit. We actively seek and expect the Holy Spirit’s guidance, direction and empowerment (John 15:26).
Community
We believe authentic Christ-centered relationships are essential to the life of the church. We grow when we’re in authentic fellowship. We are relationship driven in every area of ministry. We share life through Christ-centered small groups. We have a relational approach to evangelism and discipleship. (Acts 2:42-47).
Love
We value love in all things, whether evangelism or service, whether worship or teaching. These things only have value inasmuch as they are done in love (John 13:34-35, I Cor. 13:2-3, I Tim. 1:5)
Unity
Unity within the local body and among churches is important to us. Within the bounds of historic Christianity, we will focus on the Savior who unites us and the essential truths of scripture rather than smaller issues that divide us (Eph. 4:1-6).
Service
God calls every believer to a lifestyle of humble service. God gives them gifts to use, so we want to encourage people to use their gifts and release people to serve. We want every member of the church to find a way to serve actively (Phil. 2:1-8, John 13:12-15, I Cor. 12:4-7).
Kingdom-first
We are committed to seeking God’s kingdom first, and we prioritize it’s advancement over our own personal pursuits and goals. We encourage everyone in the church to submit all their decisions to this kingdom-first thinking (Matt. 6:33).
Celebration
We want our freedom in Christ to overflow into celebratory worship and joyful service. We encourage people to use their God-given talents and creativity to glorify Jesus, build up the church body, and bring flourishing to our community. Life with Christ is a delight! (Ps. 16:11, Phil. 4; Hab. 3:18-19)
Reproduction
We are committed to the great commission, actively seeking to make disciples who make disciples. We desire to see the church grow into a health outward expression of kingdom expansion that results in the planting of other reproducing churches (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8).
